Mighty New York Region

Rochester Event Canceled

Gleason Public Relations, originator of Pizza All-Stars , has canceled the 2008-2009 five-state Mighty New York Region Championship indefinitely. Our site committee, which began working in March, was unable to meet with Frontier Field Management. Subsequent efforts to secure an alternative venue were met with unacceptable delays. The next course of action for Pizza All-Stars is to continue to expand in other parts of the country, and to locate a site with greater community support for a Spring 2009 Mighty New York Regional Championship.

 

Pizza All-Stars is a fun-filled event that combines minor league baseball or professional athletics and pizza tasting. It's a phenomenal way for communities to help the ALS Association in your area provide essential care and services for those afflicted with this deadly disease.

Events consist of:

Happy Hour: 1 hour
- Beer, wine, soft drinks

Pizza Serving: 2-1/2 hours

Awards Presentations and Exhibitions: 1/2 hour

Untitled Document Pizza All-Stars™ is a fund raiser developed and implemented by Gleason Public Relations, one of the nation's foremost food and beverage marketing companies. We work with the ALS Association in Upstate NY and other regions to raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, (Lou Gehrig's disease). Once diagnosed, there is no cure. Dedicated physicians and scientific researchers are working at Syracuse Rochester Universities to help find a cure for this dreaded disease. Won't you help us in this effort?.
